Protest Rally on the 10th Aniversary of Nuclear
Holocaust in Balochistan.

Press Release

On May 28th, 1998, the sick minded criminals, enemies of
humanity, terrorist army of Islamic republic of Pakistan
detonated Six nuclear bomb in the Ras Koh Hills in Chagai,
in Pakistani occupied Balochistan. These tests were
conducted without the will and consent of Baloch people.
They committed a serious crime against the Baloch people
and humanity. While the Ras Koh Hills in Chagi was burning
into ashes due to the nuclear blast and people of Balochistan
were running to safety to save their lives and cattles from the
aftermath of the blast and spreading radioactivity, the Punjabi
Islamic extremists and Paki terrorist army officers were
dancing in the streets of Lahore and Islamabad, celebrating
the death and destruction of Baloch people. They were
distributing sweets and shouting slogan like, Allah-o-akabr
(God is great), " death to America", "death to India","death to
Israel", and Long live A.Q Khan (The Terrorist Nuclear
mastermind of Pakistani Islamic bomb and nuclear smuggler
and proliferater) .

The effects of that nuclear test are still being felt throughout
the Balochistan and in the surrounding hills of Chagi
Balochistan even after ten years have passed. Thousand
people have died of cancer, seizures, birth defects, leukemia
and lymphoma and there has been an increase in cataract
rates. Many people migrated from the contaminated area due
to the spread of radioactivity and have became homeless .
There have also been widespread reports of camels and

livestock death in the Chagai, Kharan and surrounding areas of Balochistan. The Pakistani nuclear tests in Balochistan brought devastated
consequences there. The underground water went down from 60 feet to over 400 feet. Prior to nuclear tests, there used to be rains each year in the
area but since then, no rains had occurred leading to the drought.

Baloch Society of North America (BSO-NA) and American Friends of Balochistan (AFOB) are organizing a protest rally in front of Pakistani embassy on
May 28th to raise our voice against that heinous crime committed against our people. Please join us and show your support. Thank you.

Press release

WASHINGTON DC: Peace activists from occupied Balochistan will join hands with their U.S.counterparts to mark the 10th anniversary of Pakistan
testing its deadly Islamic Bomb in Pakistani occupied Balochistan on May 28. The event will be held outside the Pakistan embassy in Washington DC,
from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. A noon to dusk hunger strike will also be staged to draw the attention of the U.S. public to the ongoing brutal military operation in
Balochistan.

Balochistan, a Texas-size stateless region, is divided among Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan and a bloody army operation continues there despite
installing of a civilian regime in Pakistan. Pakistan's coup leader Gen. (R) Pervez Musharraf is still the president of the artificial state created by the
British in 1947. Musharraf, like other army generals, is directly responsible for the Baloch genocide.

Balochistan was annexed by Pakistan in March 1948 and a move is afoot to knock the doors of the International Court of Justice. The de jure ruler of
Balochistan, the Khan of Kalat His Highness Suleman Daud Ahmedzai, has sought asylum in the United Kingdom and has vowed to get the right of
self-rule for his enslaved people. Last week three Baloch tribesmen were burnt alive in Pakistani-occupied Balochistan. Several thousand peoplehave
been killed since the start of a bloody insurgency in 2005, which the Baloch call the Fifth War of Liberation against Pakistani occupation of their
homeland since March 1948.

The Baloch have risen in arms against the occupation of their country by Pakistan in 1948, 1958 and 1962 and 1973-77. The latest uprising started in
2005 and the dead include former governor and chief minister of Balochistan, Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, and member of the provincial assembly Mir
Bala'ach Marri. More than 7000 people were jailed and tortured in Pakistan's gestapo-style prisons. Those jailed victims included former chief minister
of Balochistan, Sardar Akhtar Mengal.

Though all nuclear weapons are equally condemnable, Pakistan's weapons of mass destruction is even more dangerous as it is religion-specific. As
part of its state ideology, Pakistan considers people from other religions as its enemies and has made clear it will not desist from being the first to use
nuclear weapons.

Pakistan has rapaciously used Baloch resources for the last 60 years and in stead of giving Balochistan its due share, killed and maimed tens of
thousands of Baloch tribesmen and left their lands contaminated by nuclear radiation in the 1998 nuclear tests. No independent study has been
conducted to see the disastrous consequences of Pakistan's use of Baloch territories to test its so-called Islamic bomb.

Islamic fundamentalists took to the streets of Pakistan when the nuclear weapons were tested in Chagai 10 years ago. They had missile replicas
mounted on trucks with "U.S., Israel and India" inscribed on them

A special highlight of the day will be the reading of a message from the Khan of Kalat. In a separate address to his nation, the Khan of Kalat will convey
his plans for Baluch emancipation through telephone to the Quetta Press Club.

A number of U.S.-based Baluch human rights activists will participate in the protest rally in DC.

American guitarists will sing peace songs, while U.S. poets will recite poems.

Speeches by Baluch and Sindhi activists will deal with the situation faced by the people of Baluchistan and Sindh.

Similar protests are planned in Pakistan and other Western capitals, while Baluch in the Arabian Gulf countries have conveyed their support for the
global protests.

The exact address of the protest is:
3517 International Ct. NW Washington DC. The metro station is Van Ness on
the red line.

The event in DC has been organized by the Baloch Society of North America and the American Friends of Balochistan.
