Bilawal, be a hero of Sindh
A Poem

By Ahmar Mustikhan

At the army headquarters, a woman lay still
Islam has won, logic lost, humanity mourns

Sad is a land of poets and mystics
Of love, peace and romance, their Marvi(1) is gone

The best daughter of Sindh ever in history, is lost
River Indus is Red with tears of peasants

A daughter of destiny who won eternal glory
Like father, like brother, a woman martyr she is

Pakistani soldiers rejoice, chant Allah O’ Akbar
Mullahs in Islamabad clap just like on 911

At Bhutto’s funeral, in Naudero the mourners cry
‘We don’t want Pakistan, Long Live Bhutto’

Pakistan is as sick as Jinnah*, you know well I hope
Don’t waste your time, Bilawal Bhutto

Look who Jinnah was, an agent of the raj
Say Jiye (3) Sindh, Baluchistan we will say Jiye
Bhutto

(1)A character in Sindh folklore, symbolizing fidelity
to higher ideals.
(2)Founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Many
believe he was a planted man of the British.
(3) Means Long Live.
