Five more Baloch leaders put on ECL

QUETTA: The Interior Ministry has placed five Baloch leaders on the Exit Control List (ECL) including the Dera
Bugti and Kohlu district nazims, said Baloch leader Amanullah Kinrani on Sunday.

Dera Bugti District Nazim Kazim Bugti, Kohlu District Nazim Ali Gul Mari, Member of the National Assembly Abdur
Rauf Mengal, Nawab Akbar Bugti’s nephew Sher Ali and Amanullah Kinrani, the Jamhoori Watan Party’s
information secretary, have been put on the ECL.

Kinrani said the interior secretary approved the decision. “The government is stealing the right of self-expression
and movement from its citizens,” he said. The government does not want Baloch leaders to attend the Alliance
for the Restoration of Democracy meeting in London in July and reveal their plight to the world, he added.

The list was issued under Section 2 of the Exit from Pakistan Contract Ordinance 1981 on April 24. On April 2, 11
Baloch leaders were placed on the ECL, including Nawab Akbar Bugti and his relatives (including his daughter-
in-laws), Sardar Attaullah Mengal and Agha Shahid Bugti
