Bugti Calls For Baloch Unity.

QUETTA: Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) Chief Mr. Akbar
Khan Bugti on Sunday offered to dissolve his party to
form a joint political platform for the Baloch people. "If National Party, Baloch Haq Tawar, Balochistan
National Party and other groups and personalities
dissolve their political and individual entities for the formation of the platform that would be highly
appreciated,"Bugti said, while addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club by telephone from Dera
Bugti.
JWP Secretary General Agha Shahid Bugti, Senator Amanullah Kinrani and others were present at the press
conference. Bugti wished that the proposed greater Baloch platform would make concrete planning and adopt
a strategy to ensure the identity of Baloch nation and survival of the homeland besides acquiring their right to
rule, protection of coasts and their resources.
He said," it is high time to play a historic role by converting deprivations of the Baloch nation into a bright
future by putting behind our ego for a greater cause. Balochistan is our asset acquired as a result of
great sacrifices rendered by our forefathers,"he said, adding: "The land and resources from Koh-e-
Taftan to Kashmore and the coastline from Jewani to Sonmiani are our heritage and as such our struggle
will continue at political, social, tribal, individual and collective levels. There is also a role for students and
intellectuals in this struggle."
He regretted that," the future of Balochistan looked bleak under the prevalent circumstances. Practically,
the province has become a "conquered" area of the Army and we cannot rule out military operations
even in future that had been carried out in the past and being carried out presently",he observed.
He said:"We were being made submissive by strengthening Army’s dominance day in and day out.
Under the given circumstances, it has become inevitable to make new arrangements to stop the actions
against the Baloch nation and their homeland and face them bravely by taking bold and revolutionary
decisions."
He said," a wise decision would truly represent the emerging aspirations and feelings of students,
intellectuals and the younger generation.At the same time, Nawab Bugti said,"this would help determine
the future course of action whether or not to continue with the existing parliamentary type of politics or
play a decisive role through practical struggle in view of the new circumstances and incidents."
He realised that," though it is a hard but the only way to come out of the present situation and wage a
struggle leaving behind the lethargic attitudes and habit of calm down."Responding to a query, Mr. Bugti
said," it is just premature to say who would be going to head the proposed greater Baloch political
platform."Regarding the course of future politics whether it would be based on confrontation or remain
limited to parliamentary efforts, the veteran politician said," we would do everything possible for a bright
future of Baloch nation and their homeland."
PPI adds: Answering a question, Bugti said his proposal is not for a new political alliance. Alliance is
something while platform is another. Through this platform it is desired that all Baloch gather on a single
platform. Responding to another question, he said the situation in Dera Bugti was not normal.
