Sindhi, Baloch migrants hold demo
against Bugti killing

New Delhi, Sep 11: In tune with the protests held in Pakistan, especially in the Balochistan region, over the recent
killing of tribal leader Nawab Akbar Bugti, Baloch and Sindhi migrants in India held a demonstration in the capital
today.

The protesters, belonging to the Sindh and Balochistan Society, chanted slogans against the Musharraf regime
and later submitted a memorandum to the Pakistan High Commission here.

Addressing President Pervez Musharraf in the memorandum, the society demanded an immediate end to military
operation in Balochistan and release of all the Sindhi and Baloch political prisoners in jails there.

They also sought constitution of an International Tribunal to probe Bugti's killing.

Urging support from the Indian government, Chief Coordinator of the Society Dr Ghansham Prakash said India is
home to around 70 lakh Sindhis and one lakh Balochis.

"Indian government should take up this issue with the Pakistan authorities," he said.
